“SUP”tastic 2-4 mile Stand Up Paddleboard Race
July 13th – Manteo, NC
The Suptastic is a 2-4 mile WPA Sanctioned Stand Up Paddleboard Race on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. The stand up paddleboard race will start at the Festival Park Bridge in Manteo, NC. The race will go into Shallow Bag Bay and around Roanoke Island Festival Park.
This WPA sanctioned event will have two courses a long and short course with 2 divisions in both the elite and recreational classes. Test your water skills at the Roanoke Island Festival Park bridge. Bring your friends and family! They can watch the race throughout the waterfront. There will be buoys to direct participants and boat traffic is minimal to moderate here. The water is normally calm this time of year, but there can be some chop. There will be a skippers meeting at 9am and the race will start at 10am.
There will be 2 classes with 3 divisions each:
Elite Class
Mens and Women’s combined 12’6″ and under division
Open Division any board over 12’6″
Recreation Class
Men’s and Women’s combined 12’6″ and under division
Open Division and board over 12’6″
