OBX Surf Lessons
Surf Lessons from Kitty Hawk Surf Co.
Our surf lessons teach you the fundamentals of surfing. We discuss the importance of ocean safety, how to identify rip currents, and how to read ocean conditions. We warm up with some surf specific stretches. Then we practice standing up on the board on the beach before we get in the water. After that it’s into the ocean to learn how to paddle properly and catch your first wave. There is over an hour of hands on practice in the water. Surfboard and leash are provided. Our surf instruction is provided by some of the most experienced and responsible instructors on the Outer Banks.
